A surreal advert is an advert which is supposed to be dream like and is meant to have a big effect on viewers. It is supposed to get the audience's attention and make them want to tell others about the advert because they find it so surreal and unusual. Surreal adverts can also become very memorable and be remembered for years, things such as the Dairy Milk advert where the gorilla is playing the drums is still talked about now. The Aero Bubblegirl advert is a good example of a surreal advert because it shows some bizzare images on screen which may keep the audience watching because they want to know what it is and it's revealed to be a girl made of Aero bubbles, the "Bubblegirl" could also be used as a character to advertise Aero, like Tony the Tiger does for Frosties.
